Airfryer fries

Cut the potatoes

  • Slice into fries sticks for even cooking.
  • Soak the fries in cold water for 30–60 minutes to remove excess starch (optional ).
  • Drain and dry thoroughly. Dry potatoes crisp much better. I am lazy sometimes so I don’t always do this step. Sometimes I just drain and that’s it.

Season

  • Place the fries in a bowl.
  • Lightly spray with cooking oil, tossing until all fries have a thin coating.
  • Sprinkle with salt and toss again.

Air fry

  • Start the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) .
  • Arrange fries in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
  • Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket around 10 minutes.
  • For extra crispiness, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the final 3–5 minutes.
  • Taste and add a little more salt if desired.
  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
