🧅 Pickled Onions – the recipe I like to always have on hand in my fridge!
A simple, quick, and very practical recipe. I like to prepare a jar so that I have pickled onions ready whenever I need them. They go perfectly in burgers, sandwiches, salads, and tacos, or as a side to various dishes.
Instructions:
- Slice the onions thinly and place them into a jar, packing them down tightly.
- Add the vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Pour in hot water until the onions are completely covered.
- Let it cool, close the jar, and place it in the refrigerator.
I use the spices listed above, but you can also add chili flakes, bay leaves, or coriander, depending on your preference.
❤️ A little tip: I pack the onions tightly into the jar because I don’t like having the spices floating on top.
