Pork Schnitzel

Ingredients:

– boneless pork chops

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 2 large eggs

– 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

Prepare the Pork Chops

   – Place the pork chops on to a chopping bord. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to gently pound the pork to be more thick. This helps tenderize the meat and ensures even cooking.

   – Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Set Up Breading Station

   – In three shallow dishes, place the flour in the first dish, whisk the eggs in the second dish, and put the breadcrumbs in the third dish.

Bread the Pork

   – Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off excess.

   – Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.

   – Finally, coat the pork chop in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Fry the Schnitzels

   – In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. You want enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.

   – Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded pork chops. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

   – Remove the schnitzels from the pan and place them on a grill tray to drain any excess oil.

   – Serve the pork schnitzels hot.

Enjoy!

Pork schnitzel pairs well with various sides, such as potato salad, fries, or a simple green salad. Enjoy your cooking!
