Welcome! I’m happy you’re here. You can call me Andra. Either way, I’m a self-taught cook from Romania. I started this blog in 2024 and named it after my first dachshund, Souris. We also call her Sobo. Now, we are currently living in Hungary with my husband and young daughter Sofia, and I work on this blog full-time. I love my job!
Having a pizza means sometimes you need to learn new skills 👌. This was one of the first attempts to get the pizza in the oven. Not to successful, but hei sometimes you just have to have fun😍

Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour: Approximately 375 grams
- Salt: Approximately 5 grams
- Baking soda: Approximately 6 grams
- Hot water: Approximately 240 grams
- Butter, melted: Approximately 75 grams
Instructions:
1. Whisk together the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
2. Gradually add the hot water: Gradually add the hot water that you have previously mixed with the butter to the dry ingredients, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
3. Transfer and knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
4. Let the dough rest: Cover the dough with a damp towel or plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes. This helps make the tortillas more pliable.
5. Divide and roll the dough: Divide the dough into 10-12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball. Then, using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a thin circle (about 15-18 cm wide).
6. Heat the skillet: Heat a dry skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
7. Cook the tortillas: Cook each tortilla for about 30-45 seconds per side until you see bubbles and light brown spots. Flip once.
8. Keep warm: Place the cooked tortillas in a clean towel to keep warm and soft until serving.
